I grew up in Montreal, Quebec, and presently live in Kingston, Ontario, at the south eastern tip of Lake Ontario, where it narrows into the Thousand Islands and the St. Lawrence River.

The first poem that I wrote, at age 3 - transcribed in my mother’s handwriting - eventually became the chorus of the song Wind Wind Beautiful Wind. Over the years I have studied piano, guitar, trumpet, percussion, music theory, voice, acting, songwriting and songleading. I began songwriting intensively in 2000, and have attended many music retreats and performed in many different venues since that time. Some of my current musical activities are described on the Booking page.

My interest in photography began at about age 10, when my father showed me how to load film into his camera. I have photographed weddings and celebrations, and videorecorded many performances and other events. I carry my digital camera with me everywhere I go, and find many unexpected visual treasures in my everyday world.

After studying Maths and Physics at Carleton University, in Ottawa, Ontario, I trained as a family physician at the University of Ottawa, and presently work in private practice in an office in my home. Music and medicine flow from the same healing source.

I integrate my artistic endeavours with practising medicine and raising my four children, who are introduced on the Thanks page of the website.
